Hidden ray gun (World At War)
The Treyarch creators are huge fans of Easter eggs. Starting with World at War, every game they release has many hidden secrets that aren’t easy to gain access to. Certain of these secrets can be traced back to Zombie Mode and are the most difficult to discover.
Naturally, the Treyarch and the campaigns haven’t scrimped on player pass-holes. One example is inside World at War, during the Weak Resistance mission. Explosions will leave pits in the first area near the shore. Some of them contain water. If you dive into them in a specific sequence, four statues sporting ray guns will pop up. Get your weapon out and experience its power. Just as the one in Zombie mode. The weapon can kill most enemies in one shot and can easily eliminate the limbs.
ZAP!!! and alien snowmen (Ghosts)
Although the Extinction mode in Call of Duty: Ghosts was not as popular as the zombie mode in Treyarch. Treyarch games did have plenty of entertaining moments. Also, there were many different techniques too.
In the game Map “Nightfall,” you’ll find a tiny passchalk that you must shoot at the sparking transformers hung on different poles. When you hit them according to the sequence when they start to ignite, the game will display an announcement “ZAP !!!” And the creatures you eliminate then from then on will explode, transforming into the snow. Furthermore, they will be left with an iceman’s head that disappears after a few seconds. The sequence will end after approximately five minutes.
Hidden Electric Weapon (Black Ops)
Within World At War, there was an option to pass check The Ray Cannon, and in the Black Ops campaign, you can obtain a different weapon from Zombie Mode through the pass check, which is The Electric Weapon. To get this weapon, you must meet certain requirements.
For the Numbers mission, you must shoot every cylinder of Nova-6 at the start of the level. When you are ready to climb the stairs, go back to the room with tape recorders on the table. Press the button to engage with it. After that, you can go through the level like you normally do until you come across the vault of weapons concealed behind the refrigerator.
On the left-hand part of the space, you’ll find another tape recorder that will also require interaction. If done properly, then the Electro Gun will emerge from the wall within a couple of minutes, and all you need to do is pull it up.
Kill Yuri (Call Of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Remastered)
The game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 features an episode of flashbacks where players can see important events within the Modern Warfare story through the eyes of Yuri, who aided Makarov. It’s a fascinating twist, but nobody has had the chance to see Yuri in the two previous games.
This is only applicable to their original versions even. In the game Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered, the game’s developers of Raven Software prudently added Yuri to the new mission, “Kill with Only One Shot.” The script now plays during the scene. You will be able to see the dialogue between Makarov and Yuri, and if one of them shoots, it will award you the prize and display an instruction “Don’t shoot at your own enemies.”
Perks in Zombie Mode (Black Ops 2)
Perks are the main feature of the Zombie map. When you have Stamina Cocktail, you can run longer, while with Jugger-Fanta, you can survive, and that’s just one small portion of the benefits Perks a la Cola has to provide.
It’s fascinating to note that Black Ops 2 has several extra perks that aren’t within the limit of 4 pieces. The impact of these “permanent benefits” varies from increasing the speed of the players’ performance to immunity from blast damages. They can be revoked by passing tests with odd conditions, or they can be lost under similarly ambiguous circumstances. This unique gameplay mechanic laid the basis for Black Ops 3 and 4. Gobble-Gams and Elixirs mechanics in Black Ops 3 and Black Ops 4 and Black Ops 4, respectively.
Wailing Angels (Black Ops 3)
This is perhaps the most frightening of the many Easter eggs that the Treyarch games have hidden. The dolls found on the Nuk3town map in Black Ops 3 – it appears that you can transform the dummies back to life.
It’s relatively simple. All you have to do is shoot away from the fingers of every model on the map, and they’ll begin to chase you, much like the angels who weep in Doctor Who. However that’s right; they’ll move only when nobody is watching them. You’ll hear people approaching you; however, ,the mannequins immediately remain frozen in strange, unnatural postures if you look around. This is how you’ll begin to see the reasons which are terrified of the mannequins…
Party Party (Call of Duty The Most Finest Hour)
Within Call of Duty: Finest Hour, it is awe-inspiringly numerous passages. Exploding UFOs hidden in the shadows and toy bears are only a small portion of what you’ll discover in this game.
A most famous secret is inside the “Underground Passage” level “Underground Access” level. Near the end of the game, inside one of the tunnels beneath, shoot two grenades at the boarded-up exit to your left. As you walk through the tunnel, you’ll hear strange sounds and witness soldiers who decided to host an evening of dancing. People can chill.
PC in main Menu (Black Ops)
Each game mode available in Call of Duty: Black Ops is filled with mysteries and surprises. However, not all players are aware that an interesting section exists that doesn’t pertain to any of these games.
If you are in the main menu, you can manipulate the arms of the Mason who used a wheelchair through the firing or button for aiming. If you press the button using both hands several times, Mason will be free and can move around the room and explore the area. There’s a laptop in the corner of the room. It will be interacting with it. You’ll discover new plot information and concept art for the game and even a secret plan for Zombie mode, dubbed Dead Ops Arcade.
Activision’s eight-bit games (Black Ops 2)
Nuketown is among the most well-known and well-loved maps of Call of Duty history due to its intriguing location and narrow passageways. Treyarch released it multiple times, and nearly every release featured an element of trick.
With Nuketown 2025 in Black Ops 2, you can get a unique passcard to be found in the history of the franchise. All you need to be able to do is blast heads off the dummies on the map. After that, the Activision logo will show up on the screen in the middle of the map. When you interact through it, you’ll be able to play Pitfall, River Raid, Kaboom, and H.E.R.O. in all their glory of eight bits.
Soul Sign in St. Petersburg (Modern Warfare 2019)
The new Infinity Ward Modern Warfare series has proven to be a success in the right direction for the series. The game did not only bring back a familiar and a more realistic approach to combat using standard infantry tactics; however, it also introduced several interesting new secrets, which delighted fans.
The fascinating detail in Modern Warfare, in our opinion, is the typical Information plate on the station for streetcars. It can be found within the city map from St. Petrograd. If you examine the pattern of the plaque, it becomes apparent that it’s made of broken Russian, but it’s not all about streetcars.
The person who wrote the monument with words made an open confession in the plaque that he had written all kinds of gibberish to make the plaque appear authentic. He also expressed his relief that the fonts on the text are not easy to read, and very few people will notice that his Russian leaves a lot to be desired. He thanks all who stopped to pay attention to his work. “Although we may never see each other but it is a source of joy to know that you’re watching the work I’ve created,” the artist writes.
